Our Projects
Welcome to Spearmint! Through our student-led and youth-focused events, we bring the environmental movement to urban areas around the world in refreshing and meaningful ways.
Project 1. Wenling Clean-up Day 2013
Our first ever event. We partnered with Wenling High School in Wenling, Zhejiang Province, China to hold a anti-littering educational event that included keynote presentations, a city-wide litter pick-up, and reflections on the role of youth in environmentalism.
Project 2. Wenling Clean-up Day 2014
In 2014, Spearmint continued their partnership with Wenling High School. This time, they jointedly held a water conservation educational event that attracted more participants, media attention, and government support than the 2013 had.
Project 3. Shanghai Environmental Discussion Day
Our first event in the amazing city of Shanghai! Partnering with a high school near Jing An Park, we held a discussion about the local Shanghai environment and what Shanghai youth can do to improve their city.
Project 4. Shanghai Jing' An Park Photo Exhibition
A few days after our Shanghai Environmental Discussion day, Spearmint collected nature photos from Shanghai youth interested in the environment and exhibited them in a park in one of Shanghai's central districts. We also reach out to park-goers and spread awareness about our organization's vision.
Project 5. Shanghai Century Park Outreach and DIY Project Exhibit
Our first event covered by the Shanghai media and newspaper! Partnering with Shanghai's environmental protection bureau, we were able to showcase creative ways we had reused and recycled common disposable products.
